Since this post is overdue — I am so sorry, friends! It’s been one heck of a week here at MRG, lots of cool things happening! — I’m going to cut right to the chase. The winner of the VIP Tour and Tasting at Chateau Grand Traverse Giveaway is …

Brenda Campbell!

I grew up in Central Lake, but now live in Southern Michigan. I love visiting up north and would love the opportunity to tour a winery. I would share the visit with family. Haven’t been cleared to run this season due to kidney stone issues, but would love to do the 10K next year.

Thanks to everyone who entered this contest. Thanks to National Cherry Festival of Races organizers and Chateau Grand Traverse on Old Mission Peninsula (which sponsors the festival’s half marathon) for this great opportunity. I really loved hearing from so many of you during this giveaway — thank you for sharing your comments!

Brenda: please email MRG to claim your prize. Email heather@michiganrunnergirl.com

And calling all participants of this morning’s Festival of Races events: please share how your race went in the comments below! We’d love to hear about your race in Traverse City, or any other race taking place around our beautiful state this weekend. I ran the 5K in Traverse City with Andrew, 16, and Alex, 12. Well, Alex ran ahead of us because he was feeling strong and ready to rock it out, and Andrew kept me company. It was a gorgeous, cool morning, and I am so happy  to have shared miles with my favorite 16-year-old.
