Winter Races
The Race: The Winter Warriors Series, a wintry mix of races held in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. throughout winter each year, is for those of us who, as founder Ryan Hackett puts it, “like to train and race outside during the tough winter months.” The race series includes: The Snowmans Half/10K/5K on Jan. 24; The IceCube Half/10K/5K on Feb. 14; and the Mud Dogs Half/10K/5K on March 13. This series of three winter races in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. can be done separately or, if you’re feeling especially warrior-ish, as a package of races.
The Discount: Ready to become a winter warrior? You can sign up for one of three race packages here. Or, register for just one. Use the code MRGwarriors for $5 off individual races and $10 off a multi-race package. Register here»
The Race: Tahquamenon Snowshoe 10K & 5K, Paradise Mich. on Feb. 20, 2016. Great Lakes Endurance hosts this snowshoe race at Tahquamenon Falls State Park. (I had a blast last year running this race – you can read all about it here»)
