On Sunday October 16, bring the family to Mt. Holiday and kick up your heels in two fun ways!
The Great Pumpkin Dash features two races on one day:
Jack-o’-Lope 5K (3.1 mi) run/walk is a timed event that will follow several of the trails up and around Mt. Holiday. This will be a hilly trail run that will challenge even the most fit participants.
The 2K Great Pumpkin Lug is where pumpkins and their people have one goal: crossing the finish line … unsquashed. It is s untimed obstacle race for all ages, with prizes for best costume, heaviest lug, and more! Costumes strongly encouraged.
There is a catch though: Everybody big and small has to carry a pumpkin! Before the dash begins, pick your special pumpkin from our patch. We will weigh it and mark it. If you’re really brave, pick two! Your arms will love you for it.
